Keeping it Real

by

Zone V tour into Plymouth have been cancelled since the passage of hurricane Maria. Having an inability to provide an excursion to four different tours this week would love to have open communication to the situation.

The season has started, and we have been waiting 8 long weeks for our income to return. I cannot express the disappointment, and frustration we feel largely based on a lack of communication. Words like”soon, later, sometime, check back with me….” are not communication! Continue reading →

Homeschooling

by

Alongside most of my days, while fulfilling errands, another event will coincide. Inevitably I am asked, why are they (my children) not in school? Then comes the discussion of homeschooling…

Most of the time I answer in as few words as possible and try to quickly bow out of a useless conversation of which I am presumed to be the idiot before anyone even saw me. Quite frankly, I do not have the time or patience to “discuss” such things unless an individual actually has the intent to allow two-way communication to be exchanged. Mostly I receive an uneducated, one-sided point of view from those whom have done no research on the topic of homeschooling what-so-ever. After all… if someone had researched, the first question would not be posed. It’s unfortunate that many people have an aptitude for choosing to believe one-line sweeping generalizations. Initial thoughts…

by

Instead of Christ followers focusing on changing laws, or the actions of our government we could focus on changing ourselves to be more like Christ. What if we as a community truly did follow the narrow way, and had abundant life? IF we as a church chose to walk out the living word of God in our lives day to day, sold out for him, what would it look like and how would Gods image be reflected in us and in turn into society? If our hearts were truly like “a dear panting for water,” would the hearts of our neighbors be changed? Could we once again be the salt and light of a lost world? IF we were truly salt in light and ambassadors of Yahweh, then would not governmental laws be of no use in our cause because we as followers would make choices to live a certain way rather than be demanded, manipulated or forced to? Did Jesus focus on changing what was Ceaser’s? or did he focus on discipleship and the heart of a man? Continue reading →

This Body

by

My head, face, hair, arms, legs, torso, stomach, all combine to make the wonderful curves of a woman and a mother.

What was once voluptuous and beautiful became a home for nine months creating more curves and beauty. The belly grew, the hips widened to make room for this incredible gift that was placed with in me.

Each passing week the skin stretched and became more beautiful, shiny, globe like object right there for all who passed by to look upon. Continue reading →

A, Mom staying at home, a choice.

by

Let me state this at the beginning for all those who read through this post.  I am not naive enough to think that my words would apply to women (or men) across the board. Obviously some of us truly do not have the choice to stay at home and raise our children.  I also understand there are those who do have the “luxury” of staying home.  This post simply reflects  wear I am at and away for me to try to verbalize my feeling s on the subject. Gods Grace, Love, and Holiness

by

In the midst of extending unconditional love and grace as Christ has taught each one of us to do we have mixed it in with “approval”.

Sitting in a pew of a church I remember reading  Matthew 7: 21-23 “21Not every one that said to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name have cast out devils? and in your name done many wonderful works? 23And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.” Continue reading →
